Prince’s Island Estate, Turtle Tail, Providenciales
A Caribbean home owned by Prince—which has a driveway and a movie theater in his signature purple—has sold for $10.8 million.
Located at the tip of a peninsula of Providenciales in Turks and Caicos, the property had been on the market for a couple of years. It was scheduled to be auctioned last year, but ultimately was not sold. It was most recently listed in December 2018 for $11.8 million.
Totaling nearly 6 acres, the beachfront property’s main house is almost 10,000 square feet and comes with six bedrooms, a 200-foot hardwood dock, a tennis court, a staff gatehouse and multiple cabanas. The driveway is stained purple concrete, and the home theater is lined in purple velour.
Rock House construction to begin! As you are aware, Rock House enjoys dramatic, rugged topography and lush native vegetation that dates back hundreds of years. As we prepare for construction, particular attention is being placed on saving many of our important trees, native shrubs, succulents and other vegetation, with a goal of incorporating this back into the completed resort.
Turks & Caicos Islands Shows Continual Solid Real Estate Growth In The 1st Quarter Market Report 2019
The Overall Market compared to the past several years is holding solid ground with this quarter representing 23% of last years’ sales volume which may indicate that our real estate market is on target for another successful year.
The Bight Hotel and resort property aims to, authentically and efficiently, bring more of what is loved about the Turks & Caicos Islands…while leaving behind the price tags, maintenance and unused space.
The Bight Hotel, with 66 units / 89 keys, centering around the highly adaptable King Suite Studio, fulfills a long-standing gap in the Turks & Caicos real estate market for a desirable yet affordable four-star resort property. Add in elevated ocean views from its 7 acre property (just southwest of Wymara) and simple beach access to 1,000 feet of pristine beach and you’re on to a winner. EA Group, a well-known and established TCI group of hospitality and property-focused companies, are the force behind the conception of this desirable product. Ryan Jones, Director of EA Group stated, “We designed The Bight Hotel to be authentic, experiential, and hip with the primary objective that it be a great investment opportunity. We wanted to eliminate excess, like enormous wrap around porches, indoor dining rooms and massive kitchens, that owners rarely use, and prioritize more of the things modern buyers and vacationers want, like fitness facilities, farm-to-table food and gardens, stunning views, access to tons of Grace Bay Beach, and authentic island experiences. We recognize owners are going to use the property three or four weeks of the year so to make sense it principally has to be a fantastic investment.” The resort’s refreshing simplicity centers around the brilliantly designed King Studio. ” The studio design has wonderful optionality with something for everyone.” remarks Joe Zahm, President/Broker of Turks & Caicos Sotheby’s International Realty, “You could have a queen bed with a bunk bed in the space, or two twin beds to accommodate your teenagers, or you may want to connect the studio unit to another to create a double unit, or a three bed penthouse…the emphasis is on ease of use, rentability, and optimal sleeping capacity. There is currently nothing on market like it – plus it’s just cool!” EA Group chose Simon Woods Architects to design the highly amenitized resort and innovative floor plans, which include custom designed interiors and furniture such as signature daybeds and bonket seating bedded into seamless floor to ceiling glass walls.
Each and every unit provides smashing views of Provo’s north shore towards Northwest Point, with the first level raised approximately 50 feet to take advantage of endless ocean views over the preserved botanical and meditative garden of the Bight National Park. The Bight Hotel will offer an on site restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, swimming pool, bar, cross fit gym, spa, kid’s club, farm, rum distillery, coffee shop and barn to host special events and weekly movie nights.

South Bank is a rare and welcoming haven: a place where easy-going island living meets beautifully designed homes, against a backdrop of spectacular natural beauty. A place to bring your friends and family for ocean adventures, relaxation and precious time together.
Windward Development Ltd., the developers of South Bank, set expectations last season with their inaugural development, Blue Cay Estate, which was a resounding sellout success met with much acclaim in the residential canal and beachfront section of Leeward. Award winning London and Turks & Caicos based architects, Blee Halligan, designed the contemporary homes at Blue Cay. Together, the team took a 15-acre parcel of raw land with limited ocean frontage, and used their vision for a boat loving community to create a gated canal front community of 15 exclusive contemporary homes with boat docks and 3 beachfront homes on the Leeward Channel. Windward Development has beautifully delivered on its promise of a secure and well-managed family development, ideal for water enthusiasts and boaters with the execution of the Blue Cay development, which sold out within a two-year period. Joe Zahm, President and Broker of Turks & Caicos Sotheby’s International Realty, the leading real estate company in the Turks & Caicos Islands, remarked “Blue Cay is a must see for my friends and colleagues. who are blown away by how well the project was conceived, from its understatedly cool, modern architecture, to the use of personal dock space in a canal and beachfront community that emerged from the raw site. Clearly a high level of vision and creativity went into achieving the end product, and we expect even bigger and better things at South Bank” Windward Development has selected Blee Halligan again for their newest project, South Bank, a residential resort and marina community along 2,200 ft. of beach and iron shore, including a unique peninsula located on the southwestern end of Long Bay beach. The 31-acre site with direct affiliation with The Marina at South Bank, offers versatile home owning opportunities each providing a distinct relationship with the waters surrounding the development. Ivor Stanbrook, one of the development team Directors, commented that one facet of Windward’s unique approach to development is that, “We like to take a piece of property and reshape it in the ideal way to enhance the waterfront experience for our buyers.”
South Bank promises to be a refreshingly contemporary community with a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere. Anchored by a full-service Marina, South Bank will be set apart by 6 distinct neighborhoods: The Ocean Estate 1 & 2, The Lagoon 1 & 2, The Launch & The Point. At project completion South Bank will comprise 19 Oceanfront Villas (The Ocean Estate 1 & 2), 18 Lagoon Villas, some of which include private docks (The Lagoon 1 & 2), 38 Boat Houses, most of which enjoy a private deck and boat dock (The Launch), and 16 one to three-bedroom Condominiums (The Point).
At full build out, amenities will include an affiliated Marina with exclusive owner’s boat services, fitness center and spa, tennis court, club house with pool, bar and restaurant, café, lagoon peninsula with lounging cabanas, non-motorized water sports, beach club and Long Bay beach access.
